Panthers advance

MADISON — Jennings County finished third in Monday’s Madison Sectional to qualify for the Providence Regional Thursday at Champions Pointe.

Madison won with a 296 at Sunrise. Scottsburg finished second with a 321, and the Panthers claimed the third-and-final qualifying spot with a 334.

Jack Grider and David Shaw each shot 80 to lead Jennings. Jack George carded an 85, Eli Simmons added an 89 and Tanner Stearns had a 97.

Eagles take seventh

BLOOMINGTON — Brown County finished seventh with a 375 in the Bloomington North Sectional at Cascades. Bloomington South (283), Bloomington North (309) and Brownstown Central (310) claimed the three qualifying spots to Thursday’s Washington Regional.

Clay Austin led the Eagles with an 85. Liam Cassiday carded a 92, Wesley Arndt added a 97, Jon Kirchhofer shot 101 and Bradley Arndt had a 111.

Lancers finish 11th

FRANKLIN — Edinburgh finished 11th with a 375 in the Franklin Regional at The Legends. Center Grove (290), Franklin (300) and Roncalli (303) claimed the qualifying spots to the Providence Regional.

Max Blandford led the Lancers with a 77, one shot away from advancing as an individual. Gabe Bennett carded a 94, Wyatt Burton added a 99, Devyn Milburn shot 105 and Mason Calhoun had a 107.
