COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Janet S. Crouch, 76, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life unexpectedly Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at her home.
Mrs. Crouch was born in Columbus, July 3, 1946, the loving daughter of Edward C.H. and Irma Hoeltke Schroer. She was the wife of John Lee Crouch, to whom she was faithfully married to for 53 years from January 1, 1966, until his death August 2, 2019.
Mrs. Crouch was the manager of salaries and benefits at Cosco, Inc, later Dorel Juvenile Group, retiring after many years of service.
Mrs. Crouch was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church where she served in various leadership capacities for many years including, Altar Guild Chair, congregational secretary, personnel manager, Women of Faith leader, Service Committee Chair, Faith Arts Chair and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed participating in Bible study and playing cards with the ladies.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Larry) Clipp of Columbus; grandsons, James A. (Hanna) Clipp of Columbus and Jonathan E. (Kodi) Clipp of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Cooper James Clipp, Virginia Mae Clipp, and Cora June Clipp; sister, Betty Craig-Lyster of Texas; niece, Brittany (Randy) Hostetler of Commiskey; and a nephew, Tim (Jill) Craig of Texas.
Mrs. Crouch was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and her son, James Lee Crouch.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church; the Reverend Todd Riordan will officiate. The funeral service will live stream on the church’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Crouch will be laid to rest next to her husband at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
