Lucille J. Frazita

Lucille (Cappellino) Frazita, age 93, of Dunkirk, New York, passed away on May 19, 2023, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. She was born January 28, 1930, in Dunkirk, New York, the daughter of the late Sarah and Anthony Cappellino. Lucille attended Brocton Central School, graduating Valedictorian of the class of 1948. She was the wife of the late Leonard Frazita, whom she married in April of 1952, residing in Dunkirk while raising her family.

Lucille was a dedicated and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her primary joy in life, putting them before herself. Recently, Lucille moved to Columbus, Indiana, spending her final years closer to family.

She was an employee of BOCES in Fredonia, New York, and was a member of the Board of Saint Anthony’s Cemetery in Fredonia, as well as a member of several clubs in Fredonia and Brocton. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church of Dunkirk.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Frazita (Robin) and Roger Frazita (Shirley) of Columbus, Indiana; James Frazita (Sherri) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Carol Grant (Neil) of Easton, Maryland; two brothers, Anthony Cappellino of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Charles Cappellino of Salamanca, New York. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home in Dunkirk followed by a burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Fredonia.
