VIENNA, OHIO FORMERLY OF ELIZABETHTOWN
Naomi Lorene Beatty, 93, a resident of Vienna, Ohio, formerly of Elizabethtown, Indiana, passed from this life at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Omni Manor Health Care Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
Mrs. Beatty was born in East Enterprise, Indiana, March 12, 1930, one of five children born to the late Edward Milford and Leo Margarite Haskell Tharp. She was the wife of Carroll L. Beatty, to whom she was faithfully married to for 47 years from November 17, 1948, until his death April 15, 1996.
Mrs. Beatty was employed at Arvin Industries, and she retired from Brave Industries after many years of service. Mrs. Beatty was a faithful member of Bethel Holiness Church in Columbus, and she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She loved her family and friends, and she would do anything for them.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Lois (Rev. Allan) McCracken of Vienna, Ohio, Rita (Mike) Jewell of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and David (Mona) Beatty of Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Kurt Beatty of Shelbyville, Indiana and Rebecca (Jon) Bungard of Champion, Ohio; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll; grandson, Allan Michael Corsale; and four siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; the Reverend Nathan Shockley will officiate. A live stream of the funeral service will be available at barkesweaverglick.com.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Beatty will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Garden of Devotion at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bethel Holiness Church missions.
