A total of 104 eighth-grade students at Central Middle School used what they learned in math and science classes in a hands-on assignment to design and create “Capes for Kids” given to young patients being dismissed from Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.


Volunteers and a few church-building professionals spent the weekend “raising” a new 5,000-square-foot sanctuary for Columbus Baptist Church on U.S. 31 .


Columbus Police investigated a device believed to be a homemade bomb found by a Northside Junior High pupil at the Columbus North football field.
