Green Drinks energy event set for Wednesday

Energy Matters Community Coalition will hold a Green Drinks networking event at 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Garage Pub and Grill at Fourth and Jackson streets in downtown Columbus. The event is free and open to anyone interested in local action to address climate change and the clean energy transition.

Networking (and ordering dinner, if interested) begins at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., a brief presentation will focus on one Columbus resident’s experience with solar energy plus battery storage, plus electric vehicle charging.

Energy Matters Community Coalition, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Columbus, seeking to reduce local contributions to global warming while increasing the health and prosperity of our community through smart public and private energy choices.

Green Drinks is a popular networking event for people interested in climate and energy advocacy and for those who want to make smart energy decisions for their home, work, or place of worship. Brief presentations are designed to answer questions about climate and energy topics. For example: What are the new federal incentives for energy savings? How is the City of Columbus addressing climate change?

This is the first Green Drinks event of 2023. Future events are planned for Oct. 18 and Nov. 15. RSVP to [email protected] and tell organizers what topics you would like to hear about.
