Bartholomew County

Solid Waste Management District Board — 9 a.m., Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St., Columbus.

Library Babies — 10 to 10:30 and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

Great Girls, Wonderful Women — 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Foundation for Youth, 405 Hope Ave., Columbus. Fundraising luncheon event focused on inspiring and empowering girls and women in the community. Keynote speaker is Cummins Inc. CEO Jennifer Rumsey.

Family Storytime — 1 to 1:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 1 to 5 years and their families are invited to join. Program features fun stories, songs, rhymes, and movement while building early literacy skills.

Tween Game Time — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Stop by and join some laid-back fun as playing the library’s board, card, and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Teen Thursgame — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Every Thursday after school, play games including Dungeon Party, Unstable Unicorns, Wizard Kittens, Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, Here to Slay and more.

REACH talk — 6 to 8 p.m., REACH Columbus, 3528 W. Two Mile House Road, Columbus. An informational meeting with different topics discussed each month. Topics include PA Hours — Do You Qualify?, BDDS/Family Support waiver, Behaviors, Special Olympics, etc.

Nature-based Climate Solutions in Indiana and Beyond — 7 to 8:30 p.m., online. Join Sycamore Land Trust and Citizens’ Climate Lobby for a free virtual lecture and Q&A with Dr. Kimberly Novicky, who will discuss the opportunities and pitfalls surrounding nature-based climate solutions in Indiana and beyond, including reforestation, improved forest management and cover cropping.
