INDIANAPOLIS
Melinda Kay Palmer, 62, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at home in Indianapolis. She was born on August 24, 1961, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Jacque Walter Palmer and Laura Annabelle “Ann” (Goar) Palmer.
Melinda was a 1979 Lebanon High School graduate. She attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University in 1983. Melinda was an IT Program Manager for AT&T working for Amdocs-a trusted partner to the world’s leading communications and media companies.
Melinda was an avid embroidery stitcher. Her other interests included Japanese Bunka Shishu and knitting. She was a proud life member of the American Needlepoint Guild (ANG). She also enjoyed being with her family and friends, especially her ‘stitch group’ friends.
Melinda will be missed by many folks who worked with her to finish their stitchery projects. She was ‘the expert’.
Survivors include her sister, Anita Palmer of Columbus, Indiana; aunt, Jerry Goar of California; and cousins in Idaho and Colorado.
Melinda will be laid to rest at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon at a later date. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her arrangements.
No services are planned. Memorials can be made to the donors choice.
