SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 8:40 a.m. Monday on London Road at County Road 700N.
The vehicle was traveling northbound on London Road where it exited the west side of London Road for an unknown reason, deputies said. The vehicle came to rest at the intersection of 700N and London Road. The vehicle was occupied by Brandon Jones, 33, Darian Herald, 29, and their juvenile son, 5, all of Fairland.
Jones and the juvenile sustained serious injuries because of the crash and were transported from the scene for immediate medical care. Herald was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, deputies said. The investigation is still ongoing.
