TERRE HAUTE — Columbus North’s girls finished second, and the Bull Frog boys took third Saturday in the Conference Indiana swim meet.
Bloomington South won the girls meet with 477 points to 373 for Columbus North and 344 for Bloomington North. Bloomington South took the girls meet with 484.5 to 472 for Bloomington North and 319 for the Bull Frogs.
Columbus North’s lone win of the day came in the girls 200-yard freestyle relay. Katie Frazier, Mridula Muthakumaran, Ainsley Sherlock and Georgia Abdallah teamed to win in 1 minute, 45.96 seconds.
Sherlock also finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:9.44), while Frazier took third in the 200 freestyle (2:05.43) and 100 freestyle (57.30) and Muthakumaran was third in the 200 individual medley (2:21.97) and 100 backstroke (1:05.12). The Bull Frogs finished second in the 200 medley relay (1:55.63) and third in the 400 freestyle relay (4:07.97).
Jude Abdallah led the boys with a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.12) and a fourth in the 50 freestyle (22.93). Diego Cotero Tapia took third in the 100 butterfly (53.98) and fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:51.56). They were second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.16), third in the 200 medley relay (1:45.07) and fourth in the 400 freestyle relay (3:46.52).
