Cheryl Ann (Rude) Stout, 68, of Seymour passed away on January 20, 2024, at Scheck Medical Center. Cheryl was born in England on September 29, 1955, to Marion “Bob” and Dorothy (Gerth) Rude. Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of Seymour High School. She retired from Cummins in 2003 after 30 years of service as an Administrative Assistant. Cheryl was a member of St. Ambrose Parish, where she served as Parish Secretary for 9 years after her retirement from Cummins and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Cheryl is survived by her brothers: Robert “Bob” Rude and Richard “Rick” (Donna) Rude; sisters: Carol Killion and Teresa (Corky) Miranda; grandsons: Jacob LeMarr and Andrew LeMarr; sister-in-law, Pam Rude. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Melissa LeMarr, brother, Thomas Rude and brother-in-law, Duane Killion.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Cheryl on Friday, January 26, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 301 S. Chestnut St. Seymour at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Voss &Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut St. Seymour. A Rosary will be recited at 4:45 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends from 10 AM until the time of the mass Friday at the church.
