IU Columbus outhit Midway 12-8 Friday afternoon, but Midway came away with a 7-4 River States Conference win.
Ethan Guire went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Cyrus Robinson went 2 for 4 with a double, and Lucas Slager went 2 for 4 for the Crimson Pride. Caleb Richards, the first of four IUC pitchers, took the loss.
The Crimson Pride (10-28, 2-14) will host a doubleheader with Midway beginning at noon Saturday.
