IU Columbus softball dropped a River States Conference doubleheader to Rio Grande on Friday, falling 13-0 and 9-8.
The Crimson Pride managed only three hits in the opener. Starter Erica Henry took the loss.
Macy Hussung went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, Morgan Steineker went 2 for 3 with a double and Mallory Shelton had a double and two RBIs in the second game. Sydney Owens went the distance in taking the loss.
IUC (8-16, 6-10) hosts a doubleheader with West Virginia Tech beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.
