Columbus East’s girls won a home track and field tri meet on Tuesday, while the Olympian boys took second.
East’s girls scored 107 points to 51 for Shelbyville and six for Brown County. Shelbyville won the boys meet with 84 points to 51 for the Olympians and 29 for the Eagles.
Winners for the East girls were Jenna Guse in the high jump (4 feet, 8 inches), Gabbie Meier in the long jump (15-5), Sophia Gallon in the shot put (32-5), Grace Lykins in the discus (89-10), Taylor Scott in the 100 meters (13.39 seconds), Sophie Glick in the 400 (1:03.72), Kai Scott in the 300 hurdles (54.60), Victoria Cuhadar in the 800 (2:45.93) and Carsyn Schlehuser in the 200 (27.37). The Olympians also swept the 4×800 (11:17.96), 4×100 (51.75) and 4×400 (4:18.55) relays.
Brown County’s Sadie Hiatt won the 1,600 (6:08.77).
Kadyn Johnson-Bey led the East boys with wins in the 100 (11.78) and 200 (23.14). Jared Brooks took the shot (45-4), Jackson Brookes captured the 1,600 (4:57.69) and the Olympians won the 4×100 relay (45.18).
Brown County won the boys 4×800 relay (9:07.39).
