Columbus lacrosse rallies past Panthers

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus’ Chase Murphy tied the game with 1:35 remaining, then scored the winning goal with 48 seconds left Saturday in a 10-9 boys lacrosse win at Bloomington South.

Dane Weinzapfel netted three goals and two assists, and Murphy finished with three goals. Eddy Lin scored two goals, Trevor Rawlings and Josh VanValkenburg each had a goal and an assist and Bryce Luttel added one assist.

Cole Vreeland recorded nine saves, including five in the fourth quarter.

Columbus (4-8) now has won three in a row following a 1-8 start.
