The Columbus Regional Health (CRH) Foundation announced it will pause hosting its annual VIMCare Benefit Dinner & Raffle fundraiser.
In place of the event, CRH Foundation will host a new Impact and Gratitude Expo on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the CRH promenade at Nexus Park. The Expo will offer the community an opportunity to learn firsthand the breadth and depth of the foundation’s support of hospital and community health initiatives.
“We are looking forward to a unique and fun event centered on our immense gratitude for our donors and community partners,” said Foundation Board Chair Andrew Weisner. “We hope the community can join us in this opportunity to recognize and highlight some of the important work supported by the CRH Foundation and the donors who make this work possible. In 2023 the CRH Foundation provided more than $1.8 million in support of community health and hospital-based programs and services.”
In the past, funds raised at the raffle and benefit have supported unreimbursed VIMCare programs such as medication assistance, financial navigation and mental health support. The foundation said it will continue to fund these and other VIMCare services through other fundraising means and will revisit hosting an event in 2025.
“The generosity surrounding VIMCare enables us to provide our patients with vital medical care, medication assistance, connections to social and community services and much more,” said VIMCare Medical Director Dr. Amy Hale. “The positive impact of our work, with the support of the Foundation and its donors extends beyond the walls of our practice to the betterment of our entire community.”
