Caroline Ann Klemz

Caroline Ann Klemz, 87, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Willow Crossing Health &Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Klemz was born in Battle Creek, Nebraska, March 6, 1937, the loving daughter of Paul Frederick and Hilda Elizabeth Luebke Praeuner. She was the faithful wife of Harlan H. Klemz to whom she was married to for 61 years from August 24, 1958 until his death November 21, 2019.

A homemaker, Mrs. Klemz and her husband had a special place in their hearts for missionary work; work that they would do in Native American areas in Alaska for many years. Mrs. Klemz was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She loved flowers and traveling and she and Harlan had a passion for photography. They made it their goal to always take close-up photos of the beautiful flowers and scenery they saw while traveling.

Mrs. Klemz will be remembered by her children, Kim Blevins of Columbus and Kevan Klemz of Columbus; granddaughters, Miranda Blevins of Lanesville and Kaitlyn Blevins of Columbus; brother, Lawrence (Gladys) Praeuner of Battle Creek, Nebraska; a niece and two nephews.

Mrs. Klemz was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hilda Praeuner: her husband, Harlan H. Klemz; and her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Carol Praeuner.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Pastor Tim Carter will officiate.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Klemz will be laid to rest next to her husband in Section 91 in the Garland Brook Cemetery.
