IU Columbus won the second set Friday night, but Midway (Kentucky) recovered for a 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23 victory in the Crimson Pride’s home opener at Ceraland.
Cora Baker and Brown County graduate Abigail Watson each pounded seven kills, Sadie Egan recorded 17 assists, Hauser graduate Kenze Bostic had four blocks, Alyvia Luce notched 19 digs and Olivia Embry served two aces to lead IUC (3-3).
The Crimson Pride visit Boyce College on Tuesday, then return home for games against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 and Oakland City at 2 p.m. Sept. 28. Both of those matches will be at Nexus Park.
