The Columbus North girls golf team will compete in the Franklin Regional at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at The Legends Golf Course.
Columbus East’s Grace LaSell, Brown County’s Lilly VanNess and Jennings County’s Grace Oden also will compete as individuals.
The top three teams along with the top three individuals from a non-advancing team will qualify for the state finals tournament at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel Oct. 4 and 5.
Soccer tournament draws set for Sunday
Mark your calendars. The first of many postseason sectional pairings begins this weekend.
First up will be soccer as the boys and girls sectional pairings will be announced at 7 p.m. Sunday. The boys tennis draw will be at 7 p.m. Monday.
Also, the volleyball sectional draws will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 6. The football sectional draws will be announced at 6 p.m. Oct. 13.

Trinity senior commits to Jaguars
Trinity Lutheran senior libero Laura Roeder has committed to continue her volleyball career at IU Indianapolis.
Roeder is a four-year starter for the Cougars.
North sets dates for college signing ceremonies
Columbus North athletics announced its three collegiate signing dates that will take place this year.
The first ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 13, the second is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2025 and the final ceremony on April 16, 2025.
All three ceremonies will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria.
