VERSAILLES — The Hauser boys cross-country team ran to the team title Thusday at South Ripley’s Great Pumpkin Invitational.
The Jets scored 64 points to claim the 10-team event. Milan finished second with 73 points and South Ripley was third with 88.
Nolan Dailey led Hauser with a second-place finish in 16 minutes, 30.04 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Koleson Gernentz took sixth in 18:12.73, while Mason Moore was 15th (18:40.17), Braydon McFarland 21st (19:38.46), Philippe Eugene 23rd (19:52.61), Mason Johnson 26th (19:59.02), Grady Niccum 29th (20:11.03) and Lukas Christian 43rd (22:43.83).
South Decatur had two boys individuals. Nicholas Hunter finished 10th in 18:25.01, and Josh Chastain was 50th in 25:49.58.
The Cougars finished eighth in the girls meet with 181 points. South Dearborn won with 27 to 54 for runner-up Madison.
Summer Masters finished 33rd in 25:34.55 to lead South Decatur. Kate Schoettmer took 35th in 25:46.61, while Kenzie Stone was 42nd (26:23.13), Bri Benefiel 49th (27:54.47), Andrea Brogan 52nd (28:14.99) and Brooklyn Ortman 53rd (28:25.05)
