HANOVER — Kraedyn Young won the boys race to lead Jennings County to a second-place team finish Saturday in the Duke Meyer Classic at Hanover College.
Madison won with 32 points to 40 for the Panthers. The Jennings girls scored 90 points to finish third behind Charlestown (32) and Southwestern (Hanover) (56).
Young ran 16 minutes, 35.35 seconds for 5,000 meters (3.1 miles). Cash Summers finished sixth in 17:51.71, while, Dawson Leak was 12th (18:21.24), Brock Maschino 13th (18:23.53) and Maxwell Rodriguez 14th (18:28.94).
Alana Watts led the Panther girls with a seventh-place finish in 22:08.09. Shelby Allen took 16th in 23:24.16, while Haley Vogel was 21st (23:54.95), Avery Willhite 26th (24:31.64) and Addy Herche 32nd (25:25.27).
