Columbus East will kick off boys soccer sectional action at Class 3A No. 1 Center Grove, and the winner will get 3A No. 11 Columbus North in the semifinals of the Center Grove Sectional.
The Olympians and Trojans will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 7. North awaits the winner at 6 p.m. Oct. 9. The final is at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.
Meanwhile, East is hosting a girls sectional at the BCSC Soccer Complex. Class 3A No. 9 Center Grove will play Greenwood at 6 p.m. Oct. 8, followed by 3A co-No. 20 North playing Whiteland at around 8 p.m. Those winners meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 10, followed by East facing Franklin at around 8 p.m. The final is at 2 p.m. Oct. 12.
Hauser’s girls drew a bye in the Class A Monrovia Sectional and will play its first-ever postseason game at 5 p.m. Oct. 10 against the winner of the 6 p.m. Oct. 8 between Brown County and Triton Central.
Also in Class A girls action, Trinity Lutheran will play Shawe Memorial at 5 p.m. Oct. 9 in the opening round of the Austin Sectional. The winner will play Christian Academy of Indiana or Salem at around 7 p.m. Oct. 10.
Jennings County’s girls drew a bye in the Class 3A Jeffersonville Sectional and will face either Seymour or New Albany at around 7 p.m. Oct. 10.
On the boys side, Hauser will open Southwestern (Shelby) Sectional play against the Class A No. 9 and host Spartans at 5 p.m. Oct. 7. The winner will play Shawe Memorial or Austin at 5 p.m. Oct. 9.
Jennings is hosting a 3A Sectional and will open with Floyd Central at 5 p.m. Oct. 7. The winner will play Jeffersonville or Bedford North Lawrence at 5 p.m. Oct. 9.
In Class 2A, Brown County’s boys received a first-round bye and will face Monrovia at around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Edgewood Sectional.
All girls sectional finals are at 2 p.m. Oct. 12, and all boys sectional finals are at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.
Girls regional semifinals are Oct. 16, and boys regional semifinals are Oct. 17 at the site of the odd-numbered sectional winner. Regional finals are Oct. 19, with the local Class 3A winners being at Seymour.
The semistate round is Oct. 26. State finals are Nov. 1-2 at IU Indianapolis’ Carroll Stadium.
