Houpey ran for 129 yards Saturday in the Olympians’ 34-14 win at Floyd Central. It was his fourth consecutive 100-yard game.
His performance last week: “I feel pretty good about it. I think a lot of it revolved around how the O-line blocked.”

Kennedy Horn
Horn led the Bull Dogs with 12 kills, two blocks and three aces in a five-set win against New Albany; 12 kills, six blocks and one ace in a three-set loss at Floyd Central; 10 kills and three blocks in a three-set win at Greenwood and 45 kills and 13 blocks in four matches in Saturday’s Heritage Days Classic.
Her performance last week: “I’m really proud of the team for pushing through, even though we didn’t win every match. We played well, and I think we grew as a team, and my team makes me better.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “Usually just have a snack with the team and then praying.”

Role model: “God. He gives me all of my successes, and I owe everything to Him.”
Best advice: “Control what you can control, and be positive.’’’
Athletics goal: “Next year, being successful at Seton Hall and having a safe season, and I want to go to medical school after to be an orthopedic surgeon.”
If you could travel anywhere: “Probably Rome, just the history and the cool architecture, and the food looks really good.”
