Dana Dunson has only been in Columbus for a few months, and already, he has landed a big honor.

INDIANAPOLIS — Hauser’s boys tied for first, and the Jet girls finished second out of three teams Wednesday in Indianapolis Lutheran’s Maroon and Gold meet.

The Columbus East girls soccer program will have a callout meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 22 in the school’s cafeteria. All players interested in playing next year and their parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Doors 15 and T should be unlocked and available to enter.

The Monday Night Ladies Golf League will begin on April 29 at Greenbelt Golf Course, weather permitting. Ladies should check in by 5:15 p.m., and the first tee times are at 5:30 p.m.

At 5-foot-4 and weighing in the 130s, Justice Thornton doesn’t have the prototypical size of a football or basketball player.

Tied 3-3 going to the bottom of the sixth against Class 2A No. 7 Hauser on Tuesday, Columbus East senior Addy Ross had some words of encouragement for freshman Baleigh Fish, who was set to lead off the inning.

Trailing Jeffersonville 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning and rain and lighting quickly moving into the area, Blake Borkhardt took matters into his own hands.

Columbus North baseball continues to remain unbeaten this season.
