Go Guide – March 19

1) Last year I missed the CAP Adult Prom, but I did get to see photos — and the event looked like a lot of fun. Set for April 18 with a masquerade theme for 2015, the Adult Prom is a chance to cut loose while benefiting the Child Abuse Prevention Program. Tickets are $30 and are available at capadultprom.com. Also at the website, you can vote for your prom court. For $1 a vote, you can elect your favorite to the prom court, with proceeds also benefiting CAP.

2) We tend to focus on the men of Modernism, but Avriel Shull was an important female voice on the design scene. That’s why I’m excited to see presenter Connie Zeigler speak on Shull and “How a Real Dame Made Modernism Sexy in Indiana.” The free event is 6:30 p.m. March 26 at the Bartholomew County Public Library. Information: 812-379-1266.
