The Bartholomew County 4-H Circle-C Hippology Team competed in the State Hippology and Horse Bowl contest March 28 at Purdue University.
Its Senior team of Caitlin Artis, Montana Bearry, Philip Artis and Kaitlyn Conrad placed first in Horse Bowl and first in Hippology, the study of horses.
The Senior Team will represent the state at the Quarter Horse Congress Hippology Contest in Ohio in October and at the Eastern Nationals Horse Bowl in Kentucky in November.
Caitlin Artis placed second, Bearry fifth and Philip Artis ninth in the Senior Individual Hippology Division.
The Intermediate team of Summer Brown, Kaetie Reuter, Hailey Rutledge and Addison Evans placed second in Horse Bowl and fifth in Hippology.
Colton Evan finished ninth in the Novice Individual Hippology Division.
