Charles W. Moore, 85, of Gainesville, Florida, died April 10, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida, where he was under hospice care after a long bout with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Reno Moore; a daughter, Linda Gail Franklin; and a granddaughter, Lela Jenaye Moore.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Moore Kundrat; a son, Steven Allen Moore; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Charles worked as an electronic engineer in television broadcasting and manufacturing and was retired from the University of Florida. He was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War as a radar instructor, and was given military honors when he died.

He loved woodworking, painting, writing, flying and travel. He also loved gardening and roses were his favorite.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church and his ashes will be placed with his wife’s at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.

He loved life and his family and will be missed.
