Wanda Charlene Hadley, 68, of Hope, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at her home.

A nurse practitioner, she was a founding member of Volunteers in Medicine where she was clinic director. She was previously employed at Columbus Pediatrics and Columbus Regional Hospital in pediatrics.

Wanda was a member of Newbern United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Carl Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Newbern Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Volunteers in Medicine.

Born August 25, 1946, in Greene County, Wanda was the daughter of Charles and Easter Wise Alford. She married Arthur Hadley March 19, 1977, and he survives. Wanda and Arthur were introduced to each other in the same house they currently lived in.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Beth (Josh) Grube of Seymour; grandson, Keaton Grube of Seymour; siblings, Susie Kutter of Cambridge City, Betty (Fred) Lucas of Morgantown, and Mike (Nancy) Alford of Dublin, Indiana.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.
