Kentucky man suspected of driving while intoxicated on I-65

A Louisville, Kentucky, man was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and public nudity after his vehicle rolled on Interstate 65 North near Columbus.

James Dinnegan, 57, was heading northbound about 6 p.m. Sunday when his vehicle went off the roadway and hit a sign on the interstate, said Sheriff Deputy Justin Arnholt of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.

Dinnegan then overcorrected after hitting the sign, causing the vehicle to roll, Arnholt said.

He had no visible injuries but appeared to be intoxicated, sheriff deputies said.

He was arrested on the public nudity charge after relieving himself in the grassy area next to the interstate while facing northbound traffic, deputies said.

Dinnegan was released on $7,500 bond from the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
