James E. Forbes, 75, of North Vernon, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Coker Forbes; a son, James Forbes Jr. of Seymour; a daughter, Karen Moore of Seymour; a stepdaughter, Linda Everroad of North Vernon; a stepson, Kevin Kosemeyer of California; brothers, Willie Clayton Forbes, Robert Dean Forbes, and Davy Joe Forbes; sisters, Mary Alice Brown, Wanda Jean Melton, and Juanita Marie Cox; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Fields.
A graveside service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday at Uniontown Baptist Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Poer will officiate.
