The Indiana Department of Transportation will close State Road 11 at Opossum Creek at 6 p.m. today for bridge repairs and installation of a polymeric deck overlay.
The highway is expected to remain closed during daytime hours through Wednesday for the bridge work.
A state highway detour routes motorists around State Road 11 by using State Road 46, Interstate 65, State Road 58 and County Road 450S.
RAM Construction has the contract to place the overlay on the bridge deck, INDOT officials said. The traffic count across the bridge is estimated at about 7,500 per day.
