The Republic earned 19 awards for advertising excellence during this year’s Hoosier State Press Association contest.
That included seven first-place awards, five second-place awards, two third-place awards and five honorable mentions.
Advertisements were published between June 1, 2014, and May 31, 2015. The Republic competed in the large-daily division for newspapers with paid circulation of 6,001 or more.
Artist Julie Daiker, who works in the HNE design center based in Columbus, was named the state’s top advertising designer during the advertising conference Sept. 17-18 in Indianapolis.
