Columbus East 35, Whiteland 21: The Warriors will be the best team the Olympians have played since Columbus North in Week 2. East won’t be caught looking ahead to next week’s showdown with Class 5A No. 1 New Palestine, but it will play well enough to earn that rematch.
Seymour 31, Silver Creek 28: The Owls are rolling, having won four of five following an 0-5 start. That start began with a 32-28 loss against the Dragons (6-4) in the season-opener. Look for a sizzling Seymour team to avenge that loss tonight on the road and reach its first sectional final since 2001.
