Franklin
Catherine M. Becker, 94, of Franklin, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Catherine lived most of her life in Bartholomew and Decatur counties, moving to the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin in 1993. She had a warm, gentle and caring personality and was a hard-working homemaker, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as a great cook and seemed to enjoy preparing meals for her family.
Mrs. Becker was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Columbus Order of the Eastern Star and Social Order of the Beauceant.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor David Blystone officiating.
Calling will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Columbus, September 3, 1921, Mrs. Becker was the daughter of Otto and Carrie Campbell Romine. She married Irvin F. Becker January 4, 1942, and he preceded her in death June 4, 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Roselyn (Dennis) Johnston of Columbus; grandsons, Mark Johnston of Columbus and Todd (Beth) Johnston of Westfield; and great-grandchildren, Carter and Kaitlyn Johnston of Westfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Chester Romine; and her son, David Paul Becker.
