“That’s a huge positive,” Hauser coach Brad Hamilton said. “This is probably our best game of the season. Except for a lull to start the third quarter, we played a complete game.”

BOYS BASKETBALL

Crusaders take third

Columbus Christian bounced back from a 58-48 semifinal loss to Faith Christian by knocking off Dugger Union 62-31 in the third-place game of the Columbus Christian Tournament.

Lain Isley led the Crusaders with 18 points, while Adriane Polley added 15 against Faith Christian. Polley scored 18, and Isley added 10 against Dugger Union.

Polley was named to the All-Tournament team for the Crusaders (13-3).

“We played a real good Faith Christian team and just couldn’t get over the hump this morning,” Columbus Christian coach Kevin Roth said. “I thought we played better tonight against Dugger. They played a lot of zone, and we had good ball movement and got it to Adriane inside.”
