Jenny’s Picks 01-07-2016

I am older than I look, or so say people currying favor with me. But I still think I’m too young for the horrible pains I’ve been getting in my left foot. When you experience a pain in something as necessary as a foot, you start to value your feet even more. I’m going to stop by the Fab Feet program, 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 535 Fifth St. Dr. Brandon Gumbiner and Columbus Regional Hospital physical therapist Jackie Meinders will talk about care of bones, muscles, ligaments and joints as well as proper warm-up, stretches and gear. Information: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org.

As much as I love to spend money on cosmetics, every now and then it’s fun to try my hand at making my own. I’m headed to Craft Night: DIY Natural Lotion, 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 535 Fifth St. Make a container of natural lotion with beeswax, almond and coconut oils and essential oils. Registration is required: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org under events. Maximum of 15 in the class.
