Columbus Sunrise Rotary is sponsoring a World Cup bean bag board tournament from 4 to 10 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds Community Building.
Participants should register for the country they wish to represent in the World Cup. On tournament day, participants are asked to dress in their country’s colors or costumes and bring a typical food dish from that country to share. Only one team per country will be registered.
Soft drinks will be provided, and participants may bring a drink of their choice. Alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Entry fee is $40 for a team of two or $20 a team for students with a student ID.
Teams are guaranteed to play at least two games. Competitors must be 17 years old or older to enter.
A silent auction also is planned. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dr. Thor Bogren Scholarship Fund at Ivy Tech Community College, established in memory of a former club member, and other Sunrise Rotary projects.
Entry forms are available at columbussunriserotary.org.
