Dorothy Jean Hadley, “Mema” 90, of Columbus, died at 11:05 a.m., January 19, 2016, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility.

Dorothy was born October 2, 1925, in Kurtz, Indiana, the daughter of Dora William and Martha Jane (Ewers) Murphy. She married Glendal “Glen” Hadley December 29, 1953 and he survives.

Dorothy enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles and going to garage sales. She will be remembered for being an excellent cook.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. David Blyth officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Donaldson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation through the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; sons, Richard D. (Gloria) Sutton of Omaha, Nebraska, James David Hadley of Columbus; a daughter, Cheryl K. McCain of Columbus; a son-in-law, Larry D. Kent of Maryland; grandchildren, Billie L. Hadley, James D. Hadley II, Mark A. (Sheryl) Kent, Lori R. (Tim) Miller, Kimberly A. (Donnie) Stungis and Sheri L. (T.J.) Jensen; great-grandchildren, Timmy Miller Jr., Michael Kent, Sarah Stungis, Jay Jensen, Jacob Wilson, Kenna Jensen, Dara McCleary, Isaiah Tessereau, and Noah McCleary; great-great-grandchildren, Izabella Kent, Carter Kent, Halle Kent, Xavier Moore, Aubrie Ford and Ayva Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Linda D. Kent and Janet S. Roscoe; grandsons, Sean E. Kent, Darin L. Kent and Matthew J. Roscoe; great-grandson, Christopher D. Kent; great-granddaughters, Samantha F. Ford and Jamie M. Kent.
