Jenny’s Pick 02-11-2016

1) I am not particularly good at either dancing or painting, but the Valentine’s Day Paint/Dance sounds pretty fun to me. The event, which features instructors from Tri-State Artisans, is set for 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at Ceraland Park, 3989 S. County Road 525E. Instructors from Tri-State Artisans will walk you through painting your own masterpiece and, as luck would have it, no skill is required. Dancing will conclude the evening and free cab service will be available from 9 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets: $150 per couple or $80 for singles. No one younger than 18 admitted, and no one younger than 21 will be allowed to purchase wine or beer. Information: 812-377-5849 or [email protected].

2) Throughout the course of my almost two years in working for The Republic, I hope I have expressed just how much I love and treasure animals. The Annual Spayghetti Dinner is one way to help out our furry friends. Set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at Tre Bicchieri, 425 Washington St., the dinner benefits CARE’s spay-and-neuter program. The meal includes spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce, salad, house-baked bread, drink and dessert. Advance tickets, which are on sale now at Tre Bicchieri, Dog World and Viewpoint Books, are $12 for adults and $10 for children younger than 10; at the door, $15 adults and $12 children.
