Randy Duane Spradling, age 53, of Elizabethtown, died at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia Janice Beard Thompson; daughter, Jenna (James) Peace of Elizabethtown; son, Michael Spradling of North Vernon; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Donita (Jim) Hancock of Lexington, Stacie Bear and her companion, Ben Bear of Madison; two brothers, Bill (Cindy) Spradling of Knoxville, Tennessee, John (Sonia) Anderson of La Vernia, Texas; and his special aunt, Bobbie Murphy of Sebring, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Spradling; and his grandmother, Margaret Dixon.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana, officiated by Pastor Frank McGee. Place of interment will be at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.
A final salute will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion and the United States Marine Corps Ceremonial Unit with full military honors to follow at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.
The family requests memorials in memory of Randy to the Western Fire Company No. 3, contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
