Theresa Lynn Knops, 57, of South Beatty Street, passed from this life at 4 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Theresa was born June 17, 1958, in Columbus, to William T. and Charlene J. Sanders Dixon Sr.
She married David E. Knops Sr. September 4, 1995.
Theresa had owned various craft and gift shops in Columbus and was a member of Northview Church. She enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets.
Survivors include her husband, David; father, William T. Dixon Sr. of Columbus; children, Jason Allen and Jeremy Michael Goins, both of Columbus, and Brandon Thomas (Christina) Goins of Hope; stepchildren, David (Melissa) Knops Jr. of Columbus and Miranda Knops of Illinois; a sister, Melinda Schuette of Columbus; eight grandchildren; three nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.
Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene J. Cody; a brother, William Dixon Jr.; and an infant son, Matthew Goins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Randy Burton officiating. No visitation is planned.
