Columbus East High School student Hannah Gregory has organized for her senior project an event to raise donations for Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, and to educate individuals about dating safety and types of physical abuse.
“Taking the First Step” is planned for Saturday at The Ridge, 2800 Bonnell Road, Columbus.
Two classes are being offered, the first a coed class from 10 a.m. to noon. The second is a women-only class from 1 to 3 p.m.
The classes will cover topics such as mindset, victim avoidance, dating safety, partying, physical abuse and more. Donations will be accepted for Turning Point at the sessions.
