An Edinburgh business owner is among 11 educators, executives and researchers receiving the Purdue University 2016 Distinguished Agriculture Alumni Award.
Kristin Whittington, owner and president of Landmark Enterprises LLC, Edinburgh, graduated from Purdue in 1992 with a degree in animal sciences. She is being recognized among the alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions or to society in general and exhibit high potential for future professional growth.
The award is the College of Agriculture’s top honor.
Whittington will receive the award at a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the North Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union on the West Lafayette campus. A reception is planned before the ceremony at 2:20 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
