Onions to …

• those who think that saving a person’s life with Narcan is enabling the addictive person as there needs to be more compassion and not less.

• historic barn owners who let these beautiful barns fall into decay and collapse instead of preserving their history or selling them to someone who will.

• the bridge contractor who left behind all the construction signs and assorted debris on State Road 9 after the bridge work was completed.

• newly elected official for spending our hard-earned money on wasteful efforts to reward cronies.

• politicians who waste our tax money on unrealistic causes.

• adults who spend more time and money on their animals than they do with their precious children.

• whoever is responsible for cutting the gas pressure back making our home hard to heat and causing us to turn up the thermometer.

• adults who get fired and decide to spend their lives drinking and doing drugs.

• the great-grandparents who tried to take over their great-grandchild’s life by keeping him away from other family members.

• those who condemn Donald Trump when he is the only one trying to help America, and we need help.

• those who don’t understand the Democrats have ruined our country.

• drug users who believe Narcan will be their safety net if they overdose.

• hard-hearted people.

• the families who know their family and friends are selling/using the heroin and don’t turn them in when they need to stop this chain reaction in Bartholomew County that is killing our young people.

• the newspaper for editing the Onions when sometimes a little longer message is better.

• those who don’t criticize Hillary Clinton after reading her book, “Hard Choices.”

• this compassion-filled culture that thinks we have to protect everyone from everything including bad judgment with the use of drugs.

• people worried about how many bricks are in a church when there are so many more problems in Columbus we should be focusing on.

• people who think a tax on cigarettes will make people quit smoking and if they do quit, that tax revenue will stop coming in.

• those who can’t remember the drug culture of the ‘60s and ‘70s where people overdosed, died and then drug use went down.

• those who think a dollar tax more on cigarettes is fair when alcohol and junk food should also be taxed since they also contribute to ill health and death.

• the older woman working at a busy pharmacy who talked to me without ever once looking at me, making me feel as though I was interrupting her and making for rude customer service.
