Woman jailed on felony drug-possession charges

A home visit by Community Corrections officers led to the arrest of a local woman on multiple drug-related charges.

Columbus Police arrested Amanda M. Sedam, 29, 1612 Union St., at about 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Union Street on the following charges:

Felony possession of heroin

Felony possession of methamphetamine

Misdemeanor possession of marijuana

Misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance

Misdemeanor possession of a synthetic drug

Misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia

Columbus police officer Matt Martindale went to the residence after Community Corrections officials found several illegal drugs and drug-related items in the residence, said officer Justin Black, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Sedam was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail where she was later released in lieu of $81,000 bond, jail officials said.
