North Vernon
Mary Louise Pettit, 85, of North Vernon, died at 11:45 p.m. on March 15, 2016, at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Pettit of North Vernon; sons, Robert Eugene (Ruth Ann) Pettit, Jr. of North Vernon and Timothy Wayne (Cecile) Pettit of Columbus; a daughter, Marcha Ann Pettit of North Vernon; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons; a brother, Floyd Wilson; and sisters, Lorene Jones and Opal Ritchie.
A funeral service for Mrs. Pettit will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, with the Rev. Leon Turner and Bro. Ricky Persons officiating. Family and Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Bethel Baptist Church in North Vernon or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
