Volunteers are needed as course marshals for the Thrive Alliance/JCB 5K run and walk from 7 to 10 a.m. April 9 beginning at the United Way Center, 1531 13th St.
Course marshals will be stationed at various intersections and locations along the race course to make sure all participants have a successful run or walk. The marshals will direct runners and walkers, prevent vehicle interference at intersections and along the course, and keep everyone on course.
Volunteers are needed for 60- or 90-minute shifts. Orientation and training will be offered at 6 p.m. April 7 or 7 a.m. April 9, with both sessions at the United Way Center.
Each volunteer receives a T-shirt, goody bag and snacks.
