Westport
Arlie Dale Winchester, 64, of Westport, passed away at 3:31 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 30, 1951, in Monticello, Kentucky, the son of Edd and Martha (Marcum) Winchester.He was raised in Millhousen and had been a Westport resident since 1986.
Arlie graduated from South Decatur High School in 1969. He was a mechanic and had worked for Hampton’s Auto Parts and NAPA in Westport. He was a member of Westport American Legion Post No. 339 and enjoyed fishing and restoring cars.
He married Barbara Ann Click June 18, 1972, in Sandusky, and she survives.
Other survivors include his sons, Christopher (Shawn) Winchester of Greensburg, Joseph (Hattie) Winchester and Andrew Winchester, both of Westport; his sister, Patty (Gary) Anslow of North Carolina; his brother, William Odell Winchester of Monticello, Kentucky; and seven grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the funeral home.
