Residents who wish to vote in the May 3 primary have until Monday to register. Registration for the primary closes at 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Voters who haven’t completed their registration may visit indianavoters.com or submit an application in person at their local county clerk’s office or any Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branch. In Bartholomew County, the clerk’s office is located at the Courthouse, 234 Washington St., which is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To be eligible to vote, you must:

» Be a citizen of the United States.

» Be at least 18 years old on the day of the next general, municipal or special election.

» Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next general, municipal or special election (except for certain military voters)

» Not currently be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
