Trail, road closed due to high water

Bartholomew County Emergency Management has announced County Road 400N (Tinkey Road) has been closed due to high water.

A flood warning continues for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh until Friday morning, according to The National Weather Service.

At 10:30 p.m. Monday, the river was at 9.2 feet, with flood stage at 11 feet. The National Weather Service is predicting minor flooding, with the river rising above flood stage to nearly 13.4 feet by early afternoon today. The river is expected to fall below flood stage by Thursday night.

A flood warning also has been issued for the Flatrock River and Sugar Creek in Bartholomew and Johnson counties for minor flooding.

Mill Race Park, portions of the People Trail near the park and Noblitt Park are closed because of high water, the Columbus Park and Recreation Department said.
